NEDxPO2018: cultural program kicks off in South Korea
In the spring and summer, a multi-disciplinary cultural program supported by both Dutch and South Korean partners will unveil with a sequence of events in Seoul, the capital city of South Korea, and partly also in the Netherlands.
Named NEDxPO2018, the program is an initiative from the Netherlands on the occasion of the Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea (February-March 2018), aiming to strengthen ties between the two countries through art and innovation, and to showcase Dutch culture on a world stage. NEDxPO2018 is the abbreviation of NEDerland (the Netherlands in Dutch) X PyeongChang Olympics 2018, with hints of ‘expo’ (exposition) and ‘next’ (indicating a future prospect and innovation).
NEDxPO2018 is organized by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Korea, together with the Mondriaan Fund, Creative Industries Fund NL, and powered by DutchCulture.
NEDxPO2018 effectively promotes all Dutch-Korean cultural exchange activities, mostly in South Korea. However, the 4 main sub-projects will focus on two disciplines: visual arts and urban design/architecture.
