Art Platform Programming Grants
For Whom and for What?
Art Platform Programming Grants are for small art initiatives, collectives and visual art institutes with planned programmes of one to four years in duration. The grants are intended for series of activities focused on presentation, experiment, opinion and debate.
The objective is to stimulate art venues to create programmes that are open to the public, and contribute to a broad and multifaceted offering of contemporary visual art in the Netherlands.
There are four categories of Art Platform Programming Grants:
Art Platform Start – for small art initiatives and collectives with or without a regular programme of experimental presentations and activities.
Contribution: 25,000 euros for one calendar year.
At least ten percent (10%) of the budget must be covered by contributions from third parties and/or the recipient’s own earned income.
Maximum number of grants: 13
Art Platform Basic – for small professional organizations that have been operating a programme of presentations and activities for at least two years.
Contribution: 110,000 euros per year for two calendar years.
At least thirty percent (30%) of the budget must be covered by financial contributions from third parties and/or the recipient’s own earned income.
Maximum number of grants: 10
Art Platform Pro – for professional organizations at the local, national and/or international levels that have had at least two years of regular annual programming of presentations, complemented with a programme of activities.
Contribution: 175,000 euros per year for three calendar years.
At least fifty percent (50%) of the budget must be covered by contributions from third parties and/or the recipient’s own earned income.
Maximum number of grants: 6
Art Platform Broad – for fully professional organizations at the local to international level, which have for at least three years maintained a regular programme of presentations, complemented with a programme of affiliated activities.
Contribution: 275,000 euros per year for four calendar years.
At least fifty percent (50%) of the budget must be covered by financial contributions from third parties and/or income earned by the applicant.
Maximum number of grants: 1
You can apply for one of the four categories: Start, Basic, Pro or Broad. Each category has a different application form. Please see the online application system to decide the category for which you wish to be considered.
Applications will be judged in a single application round each year. The 2020 deadline for submitting applications is 6 July 2020. Applications must be received no later than 5:00 PM on the date of the deadline.
