In addition to the general terms  and conditions, the following conditions apply to International Art Fair

International Art Fair grants for galleries
– Art galleries can apply for a grant to cover stand rent, but not to cover furnishing costs, VAT/BTW sales tax or other costs.
– The maximum amount of the grant depends on the amount of the (bare) stand rental and the percentage of exhibited works by visual artists from the Netherlands. The following calculation is applied:

If stand rental is:
-less than € 20,000: the maximum grant amount is € 5250;
-€ 20,000 to € 30,000: the maximum grant amount is € 7500;
-more than € 30,000: the maximum grant amount is € 10,000.
If the percentage of exhibited work is by Dutch artists is:
-more than 60%: the grant is 80% of basic stand rental, up to the maximum amount;
-33% to 60%: the grant is 50% of basic stand rental, up to the maximum amount.
-If less than 33% of the work is by Dutch artists, no grant is possible.

– If a gallery is invited by the fair to show work by artists from the Netherlands in a second stand in a separate section of the fair, the gallery can apply for a grant to cover the cost of transport, insurance during transport and the travel and accommodation expenses of the artist concerned, whose presence is important to enhance visibility. No grant is available to towards stand rental, installation costs, VAT/BTW sales tax or other costs.
– The artist or artists are artistically and substantively active in the visual arts and integrated in the professional practice of visual arts in the Netherlands.
– If the application is not submitted by the art fair, the application must be accompanied by an invitation from the art fair.

For new work produced at the invitation of the fair especially for a presentation at the fair, the gallery may apply for a contribution under the following conditions:
– The contribution for the production of new work can only be granted if the work is shown in a special section, outside the stand of a gallery.
– A maximum of 50%s of the costs involved in the production of new work are eligible for a grant. The budget must include a realistic remuneration for the artist from the applicant. This fee is considered part of the production costs, and must be paid by the applicant.
– The artist has been working as a professional visual artist for at least one year and is registered with the Kamer van Koophandel (KvK, Chamber of Commerce), or has completed at least three years of higher art education and has been working as a professional visual artist for at least one year, or has been working as a professional visual artist for at least 3 years.
–  The artist is artistically and intrinsically active and embedded in the professional visual arts in the Netherlands.

International Art Fair grants for foreign art fairs
– If a non-Dutch art fair invites Dutch artists to take part in a separate section of the fair, a grant can be applied for towards the costs of transport, insurance during transport and travel and accommodation expenses of the artist concerned, if the presence of that artist is important to enhance visibility. No grant is awarded towards stand rental, furnishing, VAT/BTW sales tax or other costs.

For new works that are produced at the invitation of the fair, especially for a presentation at the fair, the art fair can apply for a contribution under the following conditions:
– A maximum of 50% of the costs involved in the production of new work are eligible for a contribution.
– The budget must include a realistic fee for the artist.
– The artist has been working as a professional visual artist for at least 1 year and is registered with the Chamber of Commerce, or has completed at least 3 years of higher vocational training as a visual artist and has been working as a professional visual artist for at least 1 year, or has been working as a professional visual artist for 3 years or more.
– The artist is artistically active and embedded in the professional visual arts in the Netherlands.

International Art Fair grants for publishers
– Publishers can apply for a grant towards costs of participating in an art book fair, including stand rental, travel and transport costs, but not towards furnishing costs, regular publishing costs or VAT/BTW sales tax.
– If more than 50% of the publications on display concern the work of visual artists from the Netherlands or publications on contemporary visual art in the Netherlands from the 21st  century, the contribution is € 3000.
– If between 25% and 50% of the publications presented concern the work of visual artists from the Netherlands, or publications on contemporary visual art in the Netherlands from the 21st century, the grant stipend  € 1500.
– If less than 25% of the publications to be presented concern the work of visual artists from the Netherlands, or publications on contemporary visual art in the Netherlands from the 21st  century, no grant is possible.
