Commisioning Help Desk ‘DHAPS’

With the support of the Mondriaan Fund, the Lectorate Art & Public Space (LAPS) has developed a digital helpdesk for clientship: DHAPS. The helpdesk was launched in 2014 and is currently being updated.

The clientship helpdesk provides practical information about standard procedures, profiles of intermediaries and model visual art projects in the public space. The website can help clients with the formulation of a good commission for visual artists and issues such as legislation, contracts, budgets, fees, planning, management and preservation. The platform functions as an ‘open source’, and professional intermediaries can register their profile based on a number of realised projects. For the platform, the LAPS knowledge centre is working together with relevant parties in the field and on the basis of the legacy of the SKOR (Art in Public Space foundation).
