From 16 until 19 June the international art fair Art Basel is taking place. A number of Dutch galleries received a Grant for the Participation in International Art Fairs for showing Dutch artists on this fair. These are: Borzo Gallery with work of herman de vries, Jan Henderikse, Jan Dibbets, Marinus Boezem and Armando; Annet Gelink Gallery with work of Yael Bartana, Erik van Lieshout, Antonis Pittas and Rezi van Lankveld; and MaisterraValbuena with work of Daniel Jacoby. The work Shows by Marinus Boezem is shown in a seperate section of the fair called Art Unlimited.

Galleries and international art fairs can apply for the grant program Participation International Art Fairs to exhibit work by living Dutch artists at renowned international fairs. They may also apply for the production of new work by Dutch artists in a separate section of an art fair. The grant is intended to contribute to booth rental or, where there is a separate exhibition at the fair, as a contribution to the presentation and/or production costs. The aim of this grant program is to help strengthen the international position of contemporary art from the Netherlands.
