Cycle Music and Art Festival 2016 – Rachel de Joode, Libia Castro & Olafur Olafsson and Constant Dullaart
Until 3 December, the Gerdarsafn Kópavogur Art Museum in Iceland presents the group exhibition That Time // CYCLE, including works by Ólafur Ólafsson & Libia Castro, Constant Dullaart and Rachel de Joode. The exhibition takes place as part of the Cycle Music and Art Festival 2016, that took place in Kópavogur from 27 until 30 October. The festival is organised every year and focusses on visual art, contemporary music and cross-overs between these two disciplines.
The Mondriaan Fund awarded a Grant International Presentations for the production of new commissioned work by Ólafur Ólafsson & Libia Castro, Constant Dullaart and Rachel de Joode for the exhibition. The exhibition revolves around the musical structure of time, loops, rehearsals and refrains, and an insistence on the potentiality of other worlds. The exhibition is curated by Eva Wilson, a curator and writer based in Berlin and London.
