Philadelphia Museum of Art – Jeanne van Heeswijk
The first exhibition of its kind at Philadelphia Museum of Art, Philadelphia Assembled joins art and civic engagement. Initiated by artist Jeanne van Heeswijk, together with hundreds of collaborators from across the city, the project explores Philadelphia’s changing landscape and tells a story of active resistance and radical community building.
In spring 2017, Philadelphia Assembled will take shape as a series of actions, conversations, meals, installations, and other events throughout the city. The end presentation takes place in September in the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Philadelphia Museum of Art received a Grant International Presentations from the Mondriaan Fund for Philadelphia Assembled.
