From the 9th to the 12th of February STUK presented Artefact, an exhibition and festival on various locations in Leuven in which cultural imagery, actuality and societal challenges play a central role. The theme of 2016 is Up in the Air. Poetics, Politics and Economics. The participating artists investigated our poetic, political and economic relation to airspace and offered new perspectives on fields like telecommunications, transport and ecology. The curator of this edition was Karen Verschooren, curator Images and Visual Arts at STUK since April 2015.
