Dear reader,

Thank you very much for your participation in or interest in HERE: Heritage Reflections. In this email, we would like to share a few takeaways with you.

Last Monday afternoon at Wereldmuseum Amsterdam, many different ideas and perspectives on the theme of restitution were shared. We at the Mondriaan Fund hope that you were inspired by the speakers and the breakout sessions, and that you enjoyed reconnecting with your colleagues in the field or meeting them for the first time. Keep seeking each other out, continue doing research, and making plans to keep telling the stories of heritage.

We would appreciate it if you could let us know how you experienced HERE by filling out the survey (max 5 minutes).

We hope to welcome you again at a future edition of HERE!

Survey
We’d love to hear how you experienced HERE. What were your highlights? What could have been improved? And which topics would you like to discuss at a future edition? We’d appreciate your feedback through this survey. It will take a maximum of 5 minutes to complete.

Presentation
The presentation of the breakout session ‘Workshop Provenance Research in 5 Steps: How to Start Provenance Research?’ can be found here.

Toolkit
Ced’art Tamasala from CATPC closed the day and referred to the toolkit they developed with Human Activities. This toolkit draws from the perspectives of plantation worker communities and Western art institutions to help museums rethink their origins, responsibilities, and futures. More information about the toolkit can be found here. A shortened version of the toolkit can be downloaded here.
