Several changes will soon be made to the Art Heritage Presentation grant. One significant change is that festivals, biennales, triennales and similar events will now be able to apply for a new grant: Art Heritage Festival. The revised Art Heritage Presentation grant will be published online on 4 August. Read more about the adjustments below.
The Art Heritage Presentation grant is intended for museums, art centres and venues, archives and other art and heritage initiatives focused on presenting cultural heritage and/or visual art.
The aim of this grant remains largely unchanged. Applications can be submitted for presentations that transcend the ordinary, engage the public in an appealing way, and are contextually relevant to contemporary visual art and/or cultural heritage in the Netherlands and/or the Caribbean part of the Kingdom.
The plan should clearly demonstrate that it concerns a non-standard presentation. Examples include a distinctive presentation featuring work by internationally renowned artists; an engaging exhibition that highlights new perspectives; a presentation developed in an exemplary manner through co-creation with the public; or a presentation with special loans and/or newly commissioned work within a compelling exhibition concept. Other exploratory, innovative or ambitious art or heritage presentations may likewise be eligible.
The contribution is determined per application and covers up to 40% of the eligible project costs.
