Cathrin Mayer works with artists and colleagues to produce exhibitions, performances and publications
Currently, she is the associated curator at HALLE FÜR KUNST Steiermark, where she has organized exhibitions and performances with artists such as Kevin Jerome Everson, Colin Self, and Yalda Afsah. Until May 2020, she was a curator at KW Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin, where she curated exhibitions, such as Anna Daučíková, Kris Lemsalu, and Evelyn Taocheng Wang. In addition to her curatorial work, she is the editor of the book Wish A Dream and Dream A Wish, which was published by Sternberg Press in March 2021. She teaches regularly, such as at the University of the Arts in Berlin. In the academic year 2022/23, Cathrin Mayer holds a Visiting Professorship of Curatorial Practice in the Department of Art History and Theory at the University of Art and Design in Linz.
