Franziska Kunzeis an art and photography historian based in Munich, Germany. Since 2020, she is chief curator for photography and time-based media at Pinakothek der Moderne, Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlungen, Munich.
From 2017 to 2019, she was a fellow in the programme “Museum Curators for Photography” of the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach-Stiftung working in the photography departments of Museum Folkwang in Essen, Münchner Stadtmuseum, Fotomuseum Winterthur and Victoria and Albert Museum London, followed by a position as deputy head of the Contemporary Art Department at the LWL-Museum für Kunst und Kultur in Münster until 2020.
