If third parties are involved in the financing of the plan, we ask you to submit the total budget and the coverage plan and not just the part for which a contribution is requested from the Mondriaan Fund. In that case, we ask you to clearly indicate in the total budget which items concern the co-creation trajectory.
Amounts must be stated exclusive of VAT. Contributions from the Mondriaan Fund are awarded exclusive of VAT, unless the applicant is not subject to VAT. Please attach the proof from the tax authorities showing that you are not subject to VAT.
The Mondriaan Fund will ask for a clear and itemised overview of the variable project costs:
- The total costs must equal the total financial coverage, including the contribution from the Mondriaan Fund. The budget must therefore be balanced.
Crucial items should be supported by quotations as much as possible. - The budget must include financial compensation for the communities involved and, if applicable, an achievable fee for the artist paid by the applicant in addition to production costs and expenses (transport costs, subsistence costs, etc.), following the guideline for fees.
- If there is any uncertainty about a budget item, the Mondriaan Fund can request supporting documents (quotes).
- The contribution from the Mondriaan Fund to Voucher Co-creation is a maximum of € 24,000.Possible cost items include:
The voucher can only be used to cover the costs of the co-creation trajectory. Possible cost items for which a contribution can be requested include:
- Organising meetings.
- Compensating the parties and communities involved.
- Hiring a project leader, expert or confidential counsellor.
- Costs of compensating a volunteer.
The budget may only contain variable project costs and therefore no fixed costs of your organisation such as your own staff, management costs and other fixed costs.
The Mondriaan Fund will ask for a clear and itemised overview of the financial coverage:
- The requested contribution to the Mondriaan Fund.
If applicable: - Own income, such as entrance fees, publication proceeds, sponsorship (or payments in kind) or crowdfunding.
- Applicant’s own contribution.
- Contribution from third parties, such as the various public and/or private funds, the municipality, province.
Keep in mind that:
- If your organisation is subject to VAT, the VAT is not paid by the Mondriaan Fund. Therefore, the amounts must be stated excluding VAT.
- The financial coverage may not include capitalised labour.
- In the event that a contribution is awarded, at least 80% coverage of the budget, including the contribution from the Mondriaan Fund, must be demonstrated by means of letters of acknowledgement from third parties before an advance on the contribution can be paid.
