New application round international residencies

Do you want to develop further as an artist, curator or art observer by staying in a residency abroad? You may be eligible for one of the residencies offered by the Mondriaan Fund.

Visual artists, curators, art critics and art observers who wish to deepen their professional practices and expand their networks are eligible to apply for a working period in the Netherlands or another country at one of the recognized residencies offered by the Mondriaan Fund. The contribution is intended for travel, accommodation and material costs. The rent of the studio and/or living space is usually paid directly by the Mondriaan Fund.

The international residencies offered are:

  • MMCA Residency Changdong – Seoul, South-Korea (visual artists)
  • Atelier Holsboer, France (visual artists and curators)
  • Cemeti Institute for Art and Society – Yogyakarta, Indonesia (visueal artists)
  • Instituto Buena Bista, Curaçao (visual artists and curators/art observers)
  • ISCP, New York (visual artists)
  • Arts Initiative Tokyo – Tokyo, Japan (visual artists and curators/art observers)
  • WIELS, Brussels (visueal artists)
  • AIR Berlin Alexanderplatz – Berlin, Germany (visual artists and art observers/curators)
  • ZERO Foundation – Düsseldorf, Germany – (curators and art observers not older than 35 years)
  • Delfina Foundation, Londen – (visual artists and curators/art observers)
  • Creative Residency Arita – Arita, Japan (visual artists)
  • Think Tanger, Morocco (visual artists, curators and art observers)

The application deadline for the international residencies is March 13, 2023, before 5:00 PM CET/12:00 PM AST.

You can apply for a maximum of 2 residencies at the same time and you must submit a separate application form for each application.
