New application round Open Oproep Van Doesburghuis

In autumn 2024, the Mondriaan Fund is offering a remarkable residency at the Van Doesburghuis in Meudon, Paris. The residence is intended for visual artists and curators. It is possible to apply as an individual applicant or as a duo. In the studio home that Theo van Doesburg designed for himself and his wife Nelly in the late 1920s, visual artists and curators can conduct research, develop ideas or create new work.

This open call from the Mondriaan Fund is for a work period of 4 months, for visual artists and curators/art critics. As a nod to Theo and Nelly’s interdisciplinary practice and multifaceted artistry, a collaboration with an applicant working in an alternative discipline is also possible. The period of stay offered is from September to December 2024 (specific dates will be announced later).

Since 2017, the Creative Industries Fund NL, the Netherlands Film Fund, the Performing Arts Fund NL, the Dutch Foundation for Literature and the Mondriaan Fund have together been offering residencies via open calls at the Van Doesburghuis in Meudon-Val-Fleury/Paris. This residency provides artists and curators/art critics the opportunity to further develop their artistic practice. The Mondriaan Fund assumes the role of secretary in the application procedure.

Applications can be submitted to the Mondriaan Fund until 21 September before 4:00 PM (CEST) / 10:00 AM (AST) via the online application system.
