Anna Milone is a French-born curator whose practice bridges independent and institutional projects, often engaging with social and political issues through multidisciplinary and intergenerational collaborations. She began her career at Fondation Cartier in Paris before working with Marc-Olivier Wahler on FLAX’s *Lost (in LA)* exhibition at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery. Following her production of *Nuit Blanche 2013*, she joined the Monnaie de Paris as curator of public programs and education, contributing to landmark exhibitions such as Paul McCarthy’s *Chocolate Factory* and Marcel Broodthaers’s *Musée d’Art Moderne – Département des Aigles*.

In 2015, Milone founded *recto/verso*, a pioneering partnership between Secours populaire français and Fondation Louis Vuitton that brought together over 200 artists and culminated in France’s first “blind” auction, with a second edition held in 2018. As Program Director and Curator for FLAX (France Los Angeles Exchange), she developed impactful collaborations between artists, curators, and institutions in Southern California and France, strengthening cultural exchange and shaping dynamic, participatory art experiences for diverse audiences.

From 2021 to 2025, Milone served as Director of the *Centre culturel Jean-Cocteau* in Les Lilas, where she led a multidisciplinary municipal arts center of over forty staff members, encompassing a school for amateur practice in visual arts, music, dance, theater, and writing. She curated thematic seasons that intertwined visual arts, illustration, cinema, and sociology, addressing pressing social issues such as LGBTQIA+ rights, systemic racism, police violence, and surveillance. Under her direction, the center developed innovative co-creation projects linking artistic programming with the school’s workshops, fostering exchanges between artists and the local community.
