Owner and director of AYUMIGALLERY/CAVE since 2015. Studied Fine Art at Tokyo Zokei Art University and Gerrit Rietveld Academie. She received her BFA in 2007 and 2011.
After moving back to Japan, she worked at Yumiko Chiba Associates 2011-2014. Recently Ayumi curated exhibitions of Ritaro Hara ‘Ascending and Descending’, Julia Lia Walter ‘Fading Time Gradient ‘, Naoto Kumagai drawing exhibition and Katsuhiko Narita solo show.
She also manages an Artist-In-Residence program providing accommodation and exhibition space to artists for a set period of time.
