After receiving a doctorate in art history devoted to Chaïm Soutine’s work from the Sorbonne, Pascal Neveux consecutively worked at Art Public Contemporain (studies around definitions, public commissions and the Vienna Festival) and for the Jean Gabriel Mitterand Gallery (20th century sculptures), before joining up with Madeleine Van Doren at Credac, Ivry-sur-Seine in 1992.

From 1999 to 2006 he directed the Frac Alsace in Séléstat and has been in charge of the Frac Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur over the past fourteen years from 2006 to 2020, whose site, designed by Kengo Kuma transferred to the heart of Marseille’s Joliette neighborhood within the Euro-Mediterranean perimeter in March 2013. President of the National Association of Fracs (Fonds régionaux d’art contemporain / Regional collections of contemporary art) from 2003 to 2006 and member of the Administrative Council of Platform for eighteen years, he coordinated the project layout for the Fracs’ 20th anniversary and has presided over the Marseille Expos Association from 2013 to 2018, a network regrouping forty-five-some locales and galleries in Marseille showing contemporary art. He was likewise General curator of the “Ulysses” project designed for Marseille-Provence European Cultural Capital in 2013, assembling over one hundred places and including more than 150 artists. From 2020, he is in charge of the FRAC Picardie, Amiens, with a specific collection around contemporary drawings of 1200 works from 300 artists. He also writes texts and articles dedicated to numerous French and foreign artists.
