Adulaya Kim Hoontrakul graduated with a BA in History of Art and Archaeology with Music from SOAS London, an MA in Asian Art Histories from Goldsmith’s London in partnership with LA SALLE College of the Arts, Singapore and received her PhD in Art Studies and Curatorial Practice from GEIDAI Tokyo. Her current research is focused on decolonial dialogues, transculturation, and the politics of display.

Selected curatorial projects include Bangkok Art Biennale: Angels and Mara (2026-2027), Zomia In the Cloud (2023–24), Spectrosynthesis II (2019–20) and I Am You, Vasan Sitthiket retrospective (2017-2018). She is also the co-founder of the HAIIJAII Project, an artist-led collective connecting Thailand, Hong Kong, and France, fostering cross-cultural collaboration to confront ecological disasters.
