Assessment

The submitted application and appendices will be checked for completeness and tested against the Terms & Conditions. If no issues arise, your application will be assessed via one of the below procedures.

Assessment by the Fund Office

In the case that you received a positive recommendation for an application for the grants Artist Start, Artist Basic, Artist Project, Publications, and/or Curator Researcher in the 4 years preceding your application for Voucher International, and have not subsequently been rejected for a grant, Mondriaan Fund staff will assess whether your application satisfies the conditions of Voucher International. If so, the grant can be awarded.

Assessment by the advisory committee

If this is your first application to the Mondriaan Fund, or your previous application was rejected, the Fund Office will test your application against the terms & conditions of Voucher International, and your CV will be presented to an advisory committee.

Based on the CV, the advisory committee assesses the degree of recognition and its importance for Dutch visual art.

Voucher International can only be granted if the committee makes a positive recommendation in this regard.

Due to budgetary restrictions, we may not be able to award grants to all applications that receive positive recommendations. The Fund Office will arrange the positively assessed applications in order of arrival. This means that an application may receive a positive recommendation, but that a grant is not awarded, or that the contribution is lower than requested.

Checklist

In order to process your application, the Mondriaan Fund requires various information: details that you can enter in the application form and documents that you can upload. Below is a checklist outlining all of the required information, following the layout of the application form.
